Hop. Frog. Pond

...another trip to hop frog pond. The last time we went was when tad-poles were still swimming and just forming there legs. The kids had fun sharing there tadpoles with there classmates. This time Allan and Tanner made it a mission to find the toads that we heard croaking during our last visit....and find them they did! These suckers are huge,a total of 5 I think. Aubrie went to say "hi baby",then it jumped on her face....ahhhhhh she wasn't to happy!!

Iraq:} Mid~Tour

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral andpatriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.— John Stuart Mill (1868)

We sleep safely in our beds because rough men stand ready
in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.
— George Orwell

Teacher Appreciation Week

I don't remember Teacher Appreciation week ever being so close to Mother's day? But, I could be wrong...anyway the boy's and I pulled it off!
~Aiden loves his teacher so he wrote her a wonderful card, telling her so.Then Proudly walked "Fast" to his classroom this morning, eager to give Ms.Richards her teacher charm bracelet,as well as a bunch of other goodies.
~Cody's Christian Pre-School had a color theme this year, resembling colors from bible verses. Our color was orange.....He wanted to pick sunflowers to give his teachers that we were already growing {kinda hard to transplant these huge flowers last minute}so this is what we came up with! He too had teacher charm bracelets for Mrs. Melissa and Mrs. Sheri...
They were both so proud today,to give the gift's there little hands and hearts made.I Love these boy's!!

Our Family Easter ~ 2010

Coloring Eggs

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Traditional Brunch

Easter Bunny's "Magic Egg Compass"

Have you ever wondered how
at the moment of sunrise
the Easter Bunny quickly hides
each Easter egg surprise

He keeps a clever compass
tucked inside his vest
That helps him hide the Easter eggs
in places that are best

Nestled in a tuft of grass
Behind the potting shed
Along beside the garden gate
Or in the flowerbed

Down behind the willow tree
Where no one goes at all
Or safely tucked between thestones
beside the garden wall

To our delight he does this
Then hops along his way
So we can find what he has brought
Eash happy Easter day
